Bedlam Hour
Bedlam Hour began in 1982 when 17-year-old Chuck Walker received one hour of studio time from his parents as a Christmas gift. He went in with some friends from high school and recorded the first single: “Teacher.” Bedlam Hour was born! By 1983, the band had found success on college radio and began touring in 1984. Ultimately Bedlam Hour got signed to Positive Force Records by Kevin Seconds in 1987 and toured the United States. By 1994 the band toured Europe and released their final album of the 20th century: Contact.
In 1997 the band took a hiatus as Walker became a father and started his teaching career. After surviving cancer in 2022, Walker reformed Bedlam Hour in 2023. Since that time the band has put out one EP: Win a Billion Dollars! on River Monster/Missing Fink Records. In 2024, the band released two singles: “Open” and “Contact ( Live)”. The band will be releasing a single a month throughout 2024 and early 2025, accompanied with touring once a month in different states and markets within 12 hours of South Carolina. As the oldest existing South Carolina Punk Rock band, Bedlam Hour strives to live by the motto “Open Heart, Open Mind, Open Eyes.”
